On Thursday 25 April, GAD Stockholm will be visited by Glasstudion Big Pink

The glassblower herself, Jennie Jessen, is on site and talks about her art and craft, we offer something in the glass and fill it up with extra Big Pink glass for those who want to buy it home.

Jennie Jessen has been a glassblower since 2005 when she started as a trainee at Visby Glasblåseri. She has since trained at the Kosta Glascenter for basic studies and then continued with a BA degree in arts and crafts at the Kunstakademiets Designskole, Bornholm glass department.

She has worked with several glass artists in Sweden, Denmark and the USA and since 2015 runs her own glass cabin in Norrlanda at the eastern Gotland-Glasstudion Big Pink, which is open for visits all year round. In addition to a fine collaboration with GAD , Big Pink's glass can be found in the showroom in New York and at several star restaurants in Sweden, such as Restaurang Franzén and Restaurang Ekstedt.

Jennie has a strong passion for heritage glass as well as the belief in activities in the countryside and Glasstudion Big Pink has become a place for just that, a cultural platform for arts, crafts, food and other cultural elements. Jennie's design language is often organic but elegant, where glass as a material gets a lot of space and function, and craftsmanship plays a big role.

All Big Pink's glasses are made in the Glasstudio by Jennie, with the help of her assistants, they are unique products that will never be mass produced, lose soul or feeling. The glass is recycled environmental crystal and is dishwasher safe.
