GAD was started by designer Kristian Eriksson in 1997, as a reaction to increasing mass production.
Kristian was looking for what he usually calls "real furniture". Furniture of the highest quality, made by hand in
massive natural materials. The furniture has been manufactured in Sweden since the beginning, mainly in the own carpentry in Hemse on Gotland, where about ten people work.

Each piece of furniture is manufactured to the customer's order and thus becomes a personal project that is numbered and signed by the carpenter in charge.

You choose the appearance of your furniture yourself by choosing wood types such as oak or birch with the surface treatment that
creating the look you prefer. You can also get walnut or Gotland core pine, lambskin and limestone. Wants
if you'd rather have black diabase, GAD collaborates with the Hägghultsbrottet in Lönsboda in Scania.
The vegetable tanned leather comes from Tärnsjö or Elmo. The wool fabrics are woven by Klippan's wool factory. Wants
you then decorate your furniture with steel or brass, you can choose this as fittings - manufactured in Havdhem on Gotland.
